A 2002 Olympic training venue with two rinks

The Salt Lake City Sports Complex is a Salt Lake County facility near the University of Utah with pools, fitness space and two Olympic-size ice rinks. It was an official training venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the County's adult hockey league still schedules its two sheets as Sports Complex East and West.

Salt Lake Figure Skating moved its main activities here from the Utah Olympic Oval and made the Sports Complex its home rink on February 18, 2004. The club stages an ice show and hosts regional, sectional, national and international skating events, and in September 2014 the building held the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, a senior international competition. Nathan Chen took his first beginners' class here at age three; he later donated a skater's lounge and dressing room, dedicated to his childhood coaches.

University of Utah hockey also plays on these sheets, and the Utes' women's team hosts its home series at the Sports Complex.
