A 2002 Olympic hockey practice rink in Murray Park

County Ice Center is the indoor ice rink in Murray Park, one of the four Olympic-size sheets Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation runs at three ice centers. During the 2002 Winter Olympics it was a practice rink: with the Peaks in Provo used only for competition, the Murray rink and Acord Ice Arena in West Valley City took the men's and women's hockey teams' practice time.

The building has large automated windows looking out toward the Wasatch Mountains. It is home to the Murray Silver Blades Figure Skating Club, and it regularly hosts local hockey and figure skating events alongside public skating and lessons.

Today the rink runs the County's recreational youth hockey for boys and girls ages 6 to 14, learn-to-skate classes from age 4 through adult, sled hockey, freestyle ice and drop-in stick and puck, and the County's adult hockey league lists it as CIC on its schedules.
