An NHL-size sheet open all year in Pierce County
Sprinker Recreation Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary with themed skate nights, among them a 70s night on January 31. Its ice arena is open all year round and has an NHL-regulation surface.
The arena runs figure skating programs with summer training for competitive skaters, alongside hockey, learn to skate and broomball. New ice bumper cars share a third of the ice during Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon public sessions.
The calendar also holds the annual Reflections On Ice show with a special guest star, the Autumn On Ice development event for figure skaters, the Enchanted Ice holiday exhibition and the winter holiday Ice Lights. The same grounds have indoor and outdoor tennis courts, racquetball courts and one of the largest skate parks in western Washington.
