Vancouver Skating Club's home rink since 2020
Canlan Sports North Shore is a three-rink complex in North Vancouver that Canlan runs under a 50-year management contract, listed among the company's properties as Ice Sports North Shore as far back as its 2000 annual report. All three sheets are 200-by-85-foot NHL-standard rinks. The complex sits at the base of Mount Seymour beside Ron Andrews Community Recreation Centre and its pool.
The Vancouver Skating Club expanded its programs here over the years, and since 2020 the club has made this its primary home rink and year-round training facility. North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) programs the public, family and adult skate sessions on these sheets, teaches the skating lessons with its own staff, and lists parent-participation skating for two-to-four-year-olds and pond hockey among its programs at this location.
Hockey fills the remaining ice: Canlan itself offers pick-up hockey and hockey lessons for children and adults alongside public skating. NVRC's public skating season here runs from late August to mid-March.
