Opened in 1985 as an aquatic centre; two arenas joined in 2000; renamed in 2020
Leamington's recreation centre opened in 1985 as the F.T. Sherk Aquatic and Fitness Centre, and the twin-pad Highbury Canco and Unico arenas were adjoined in 2000 to form the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex. In May 2020 the municipality approved naming rights that made it the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre under a 15-year contract, and the lobby is still called the Kinsmen lobby.
Highbury Canco Arena was added in 2000 as the Heinz Arena and took its present name on August 15, 2015, after Heinz ended Canadian production in Leamington. It has an Olympic-sized ice surface with bowl seating for up to 1,500, and the Leamington Flyers, local minor hockey teams and the Leamington Skating Club use it.
The Unico Arena, also added in 2000, has an NHL-sized pad with seating for 200. With the aquatic and fitness centre, the building is a 179,000-square-foot facility.
