Get to know this rink.
Ice World is the year-round two-sheet arena at 1300 Governor Court in Abingdon, Maryland. Its two NHL-sized rinks share nine team locker rooms, seating for up to 300 spectators, a snack bar and skate-sharpening service. The building supports Tomorrow's Ice hockey, figure skating, classes and private groups.
Public skating includes ordinary recreational sessions and evening light-show sessions. Rental skates and glider bars are available, though glider bars are first come, first served and cannot be used during the evening light shows. Named Cheap Skate sessions have their own ticket arrangement.
Public skaters can book online or pay in person. Stick and puck requires front-desk check-in even after online payment and prohibits rental skates. Freestyle has minimum skating levels, with specifically marked Low/Mixed sessions admitting less advanced skaters than ordinary freestyle.
