The Sharks' five-rink training home

Sharks Ice opened in 1994 as Ice Center of San Jose and was expanded in 2000 and 2005. A year after opening it hosted the Women's Pacific Rim Championship tournament. Its name has changed with its sponsors: Logitech Ice at San Jose from 2001, Sharks Ice from 2007, Solar4America Ice after roofing contractor PetersenDean bought the naming rights in 2016, and Sharks Ice again after PetersenDean's 2020 bankruptcy.

The 180,000-square-foot facility, remodeled in 2005, has five NHL-size rinks, and a later expansion added Tech CU Arena, the permanent home of the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. Stanley's Sports Bar & Grill opened in January 2006.

It is the official training facility of the NHL's San Jose Sharks and home arena of San Jose State University's Spartans club hockey team. Their North Rink has a listed capacity of about 550 but is routinely packed with more than 1,000 fans on game nights.
