Opened January 1996 in a former roller rink; home of the Valley Jr. Warriors and the Valley League
The Lawrence Valley Forum opened in January 1996 in a building that had been a roller rink before it was converted to a hockey rink. The Valley League and the Valley Jr. Warrior program have played here from the start, and the building stays open twelve months of the year.
The ice surface measures 185 by 85 feet and the arena seats 500. The Valley Jr. Warriors program owns and operates the rink, one of six Valley facilities, and runs its junior hockey club and Select program here. In 2018 the rink also listed Andover High School varsity hockey and the Northeast Ice Club among its facility clients.
The rink installed a new dasher board system, shielding and protective netting in 2018. The biggest obstacle for that job was a concrete curb, six inches wide and two feet tall, poured when the roller floor was turned into a hockey floor.
