The Walter A. Brown Arena Memorial Skating Pavilion, opened in 1971 beside BU's Case Center
Walter Brown Arena has been Boston University hockey's home since 1971-72 and women's hockey's since 2005-06, when the men moved to Agganis Arena. It is now one of the few on-campus venues in the country dedicated solely to women's ice hockey.
The 3,806-seat rink hosted a record-setting crowd of over 2,800 at the 2026 Women's Beanpot semifinal, two NCAA Tournament games (the Terriers reached the Frozen Four both times), basketball, concerts and professional tennis. The floor and ice surfaces were completely renovated in 2010. In 2025 a 2,740-square-foot locker room with a lounge and recovery area was added, and the entrance was renovated and a 360-degree videoboard hung above center ice. The Terriers had earlier set a Women's Beanpot record with more than 1,700 fans at the 2020 title game.
Open skating for the public runs in the fall and spring semesters on a day pass, with Sunday afternoon and Friday and Saturday night sessions in fall 2026.
