A summer sports hall that turns to ice in winter

The winter stadium in Český Těšín, run by the town's facilities company, has a 60 by 30 metre ice sheet with boards, protective glass and a net behind the goals. The same building holds separate changing rooms with showers, a buffet and a tennis hall with an artificial-grass surface. In the summer months an artificial surface replaces the ice, and the hall is used for football, floorball, ball hockey and inline hockey.

The operator's news says the last public skating of the previous season was due on 25 March 2026, and that attendance is traditionally highest in the spring holidays of the Karviná and Frýdek-Místek districts, when the stadium sees the most skaters.

Two themed afternoons are already announced for the new season. Halloween on Ice is on Sunday 1 November 2026 at 14:30, with a photo corner, a contest for the best mask and free entry for everyone in a mask. Mikuláš on Ice follows on Sunday 6 December at 14:30, with games, a figure-skating show by TJ Slavoj Český Těšín and free entry for children up to 15.
