The Heuvelkouter rink in Liedekerke, now run by Sport Vlaanderen, is an Olympic-size covered artificial ice rink of 30 by 60 metres. Bloso put it into use in 1983, and it welcomes everyone from enthusiastic beginners to experienced skaters.
Eight ice sports clubs have been listed here, among them the figure skating club Heuvelkouter, the ice hockey club Lions Liedekerke and the short track club Heuvelkouter. The figure skating club has counted Kevin Van der Perren, multiple Belgian champion and twice European bronze medallist, among its members, and the Lions have played in the second Belgian division since the 2005-2006 season.
The season runs from 1 September to 31 May. Every third Friday of the month a DJ adds extra atmosphere to the Friday disco evening, and on selected days the public sessions turn into family skating days.
