Beaver Dam's community-built rink, funded in 1984 by residents who took out second mortgages.
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Beaver Dam Family Center ice arena was built in 1984, when local residents took out second mortgages to fund its construction, a community spirit the Beaver Dam Hockey Association says still drives its programs.
The association, a Division 3, Region 5 member of the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association, serves hundreds of young players a year with co-ed teams from 6U through 14U, girls teams from 10U through 14U and free Learn to Skate and Learn to Hockey sessions for kids 3 and up. It hosts tournaments such as the 14U Beaver Brawl and the 10U and 14U girls Fire on Ice.
The Swan City skating club runs a Learn to Skate program with U.S. Figure Skating trained instructors and stages exhibitions and sanctioned competitions, the Swan solo skate and SwanSynchroSkate, including a 2025 holiday exhibition benefiting Pave of Beaver Dam. Between them the public comes for weekly open skates and special events.
