A small Ramsey County rink erected in 1975 behind Harding High School, seating about 300
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
Harding Arena stands directly behind Harding High School in St. Paul. It was erected in 1975 as a small rink with nominal seating for 300 spectators.
It is one of the 11 ice arenas, with 13 sheets in all, that Ramsey County owns and operates, and its ice is NHL size, 85 by 200 feet. Harding's youth hockey programs skate here, and the seats also fill for late-night men's league games. Like the other county arenas, it hosts hockey practices, games, lessons and open skating sessions.
In the 1970s, Johnson and Harding high school games drew thousands to see a storied rivalry between the two St. Paul schools. Harding's boys' team no longer plays alone and is now in a co-op with the historic St. Paul Johnson Governors team.
