Formerly the Vadnais Sports Center
TCO Sports Garden is Ramsey County's sports complex in Vadnais Heights, and until 2020 it went by the name Vadnais Sports Center. In February 2020 the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approved a contract giving Twin Cities Orthopedics exclusive naming rights, and the county announced TCO as the complex's sponsor that year.
The complex has two NHL regulation hockey rinks built side by side, which is what makes it a tournament venue: Rink 1 seats 1,245 fans and Rink 2 seats 658. The City & County Credit Union Fieldhouse stands alongside the rinks. The River Falls Renegades relocated here from Hudson, Wisconsin, during the 2015-16 season, when the building was still the Vadnais Sports Center. Over a year the complex counts 1.5 million users at hockey tournaments, soccer leagues, baseball and football practices and figure skating competitions.
The biggest change came off the ice. On April 15, 2018, historic snowfall collapsed the sports dome at the Vadnais Sports Center. Its replacement, an 82,000-square-foot indoor turf facility, was built with completion expected in November 2020, and the fieldhouse opened on January 4, 2021, for youth and adult practices, games, scrimmages and localized tournaments.
