The Ice Vault Arena was built in 2003 in Barbour Pond Park in Wayne, on a 7.5-acre site with the building covering almost 2 acres. It has carried the names North Fork Ice Vault Arena and, after Capital One bought the naming rights in the mid-2010s, Capital One Ice Vault Arena.
The arena seats more than 600, and an elevated dining area with 190 feet of glass looks over the ice. It was designed with modern HVAC and dehumidification units, and it runs a solar energy array.
It is home to the Jersey Hitmen of the USPHL and William Paterson University's Pioneers of the ACHA. In fall 2011 the Federal Hockey League's New Jersey Outlaws played one season here before moving to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and in 2012 Wayne Township gave the arena's Bobby Reiss its Corporate Good Citizen Award.
