A 3,000-seat arena renovated in 2022, home of the Metro Militia and the borough's only girls' hockey program.
Staten Island Pavilion is a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena used primarily for ice skating and hockey, and it underwent extensive renovations in 2022. Over the years it has also hosted local concerts and sporting events.
In 2004 it was the home arena of the Staten Island Xtreme of the National Indoor Football League. The visiting Atlantic City CardSharks once refused to play a game there, claiming the playing field was in poor condition and too dangerous.
Today the Pavilion is home to two travel hockey programs. The Metro Militia fields a competitive lineup from 6U through 16U, and the Staten Island Tides are the borough's only girls' hockey program. A former NHL player who joined the Militia grew up skating at the Pavilion and played for Monsignor Farrell High School before moving on to college hockey.
