Opened by AZ Ice in 2003

AZ Ice Peoria opened its doors in 2003, two years after the company's first rink, AZ Ice Arcadia, and a year before AZ Ice of the East Valley followed in 2004. The Peoria rink changed hands again in February 2014, when AZ Ice acquired it a month before taking on AZ Ice Gilbert, and the rinks were rebranded under the AZ Ice name that year.

The building stands next to the Peoria Sports Complex, the spring-training ballpark of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. The rink runs public skating, hockey and figure skating for skaters of all ages and abilities. It was the host facility of the Arizona Hawks, an Amateur Athletic Union-sanctioned Tier II junior ice hockey team based in Peoria; the Hawks are no longer active.
