ASU's arena, with a full second sheet for the community

Mullett Arena is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena built on Arizona State University's Tempe main campus. It is the home of Sun Devil men's ice hockey and the ASU club hockey teams, and it also hosts live touring acts.

Public skating is on the Mountain America Community Iceplex, a full-size, NHL-regulation second rink inside the arena that is set aside for community programming: Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, figure skating, club hockey and hockey leagues. The Iceplex is also home to the Figure Skating Team at ASU, the Jr. Sun Devils, the Valley of the Sun Figure Skating Club and adult open hockey.

Public sessions come with themed nights, such as a Country Music Night, and each December the arena hosts the Merry Mullett Skating Spectacular, a holiday skate that in 2026 is its third annual and adds the fifth annual Christmas Figure Skating Show. Both the arena and the Iceplex are LiveBarn venues.

Public skating is $15 standard and $12 for ASU, military and seniors 55+; ages 3 and under are free, and skate rental is included.

Parking is free for Iceplex customers in the lot north of the Iceplex entrance; the Packard Parking Structure south of the entrance is the overflow.
