Home of the Pines Golden Wolves

Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke Pines is the home rink of the Pines Golden Wolves Youth Travel Hockey Club and runs recreational hockey leagues for youth and adult players all year long. The Golden Wolves, who train and compete here and at Miami Ice Arena, were the first Florida team to win a national championship title and the first from the state to win a Tier 2 3A national title.

Figure skating has its own club in the building. Pines Ice Arena and the Pines Figure Skating Club are recognized by the Professional Skaters Association as a National Rink of Excellence, and Tracey Damigella has worked here as a skating coach.

College hockey plays here too. The University of Miami Hurricanes use Pines Ice Arena as their home rink, as a Southern Collegiate Hockey Conference member from 2016 and in College Hockey South's men's division in 2022–23.
