Four rinks by the Port Mann Bridge
Planet Ice Coquitlam is a four-rink facility in the Cape Horn Industrial Park, near the Port Mann Bridge. Planet Ice runs it in partnership with the City of Coquitlam, and it also takes private ice rentals for teams and corporate events.
It is the home rink for several minor ice sports associations and offers a wide range of adult hockey league play. The PAHL recreational adult hockey league, with men's, women's and coed divisions, holds leagues and tournaments here. The rink's own tournament list includes the Coastal Classic, the BC Spring Classic and the Pacific Spring Showcase.
Public ice here is mostly stick and puck, a chance to work on stickhandling and shooting on your own: bring your own stick, pucks, gloves, skates and helmet, and book under Drop-In Events online. A pro shop handles forgotten sticks and skate sharpening, and the heyhey snack bar and heyhey Bar & Grill cover food and drinks.
