Home of the Cam Neely Arena
Planet Ice Maple Ridge is a two-rink facility that opened in 1998 and runs in partnership with the City of Maple Ridge. Both rinks are standard NHL size, 85 by 200 feet.
The main rink is the Cam Neely Arena, with seating for 1,200 spectators; the second rink seats 125. Its namesake's family settled in Maple Ridge, where he spent most of his childhood and played most of his minor hockey with the Ridge Meadows Hockey Association. The arena is home ice for the Ridge Meadows Flames, and the PAHL recreational adult hockey league also plays here.
Drop-in sessions, including public skates, parent-and-tot skates and stick and puck, must be registered online through DaySmart Recreation. Parent & Tot is a skating session for parents and their tots up to the age of five, and the heyhey snack bar and heyhey Bar & Grill are on site.
