A new seasonal rink next to the SkyStar Wheel, billed as San Francisco's newest and largest holiday ice rink
Currently out of season San Francisco on Ice's public Google calendar lists Opening Day on November 4, 2026 and runs to January 18, 2027; its Theme Nights page lists Pirates of the Barbary Coast on November 17, 2026. Official schedule update
San Francisco on Ice is a new seasonal rink at Fisherman's Wharf, billed as the city's newest and largest holiday ice rink. It is set to open on November 4 and run through January 18 in its inaugural season, with more than 50,000 skaters expected.
The rink's own site describes it as 6,500 square feet of real ice, set directly next to the SkyStar Wheel, and says it offers daily recreational skating, private ice rentals and corporate buyouts.
It arrives after the rink at Embarcadero Center had been closed for nearly seven years, a gap in the city's holiday ice options. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with city officials and community leaders is planned for opening day, and theme nights follow, starting with Pirates of the Barbary Coast on November 17.
