South Buffalo's Timothy J. Burvid rink

The Timothy J. Burvid Ice Rink, known locally as Caz Rink, is a single-pad rink in Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo. It was an outdoor rink first; the current building was constructed around the ice in the 1970s. The City of Buffalo owns the facility, and Hasek's Heroes, a not-for-profit that runs youth hockey at no cost to its players, took over its operation in July 2011.

Organized hockey here dates to 1960, when the Cazenovia Park Hockey Association formed to run recreational and competitive youth hockey. Today the Cazenovia Park Chiefs and Bishop Timon–St. Jude High School call the rink home alongside Hasek's Heroes, and the West Seneca Wings and other youth organizations use the ice. Patrick Kane, the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL draft, is an alumnus of the association. In past years the rink hosted state championships at several age levels, along with Sabres practices and alumni events, and Sabres players including Steve Shields and Brian Holzinger have come to sign autographs and skate with fans.

Since taking over in 2011, Hasek's Heroes has invested in the building. Spectators watch from a heated upstairs viewing area with seating. The ice runs year-round, closing every other summer for a maintenance period. The Zamboni that resurfaces the ice once worked Buffalo Sabres games at Memorial Auditorium.
