Home ice of the Canmore Eagles

The Canmore Recreation Centre holds the town's two NHL-size arenas, which carry Junior A, minor and adult recreational hockey, figure skating, speed skating, learn-to-skate programs, public shinny and public skating. The Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League play their home games here.

Three Canmore-based businessmen founded the club as the Bow Valley Eagles in July 1993, and it took the Canmore name before the 2001–02 season. The Eagles won their first AJHL championship in the 2025–26 season, and Brayden Point is among the players who have worn the sweater.

This is the town's older recreation building: construction of Elevation Place began alongside it in 2012, and that newer facility opened in April 2013. Each autumn the centre shares the Festival of Eagles with Canmore Collegiate High School, a celebration of the golden eagle migration over Canmore and the Bow Valley. The Town also sets aside weekly sensory-friendly times across its activities, public skate among them.
