A 104,000-square-foot twin-rink building open since 1974, now owned by Black Bear Sports Group
Enfield Twin Rinks opened in 1974, a 104,000-square-foot building housing two NHL-size ice rinks in Enfield, Connecticut. Black Bear Sports Group, a Chevy Chase, Maryland company formed in 2015 to buy and rehabilitate aging ice rinks for continued operation, owns it today. The property changed hands for $3.5 million in a sale from the Hillebrecht Group LLC to ETR Operating LLC, a Bethesda, Maryland company formed that February.
Six programs call the building home: MassConn United Hockey, whose home ice rink this is, the Enfield Hockey Association, Enfield High School, Tri-Town High School Hockey, Suffield High School girls hockey and Wilbraham and Monson Academy. MassConn United's alumni list includes NHL players Johnny Gaudreau and Kasperi Kapanen, and Tyler Boucher, the Ottawa Senators' tenth overall pick in 2021. Figure skating runs alongside the hockey, with freestyle sessions and a Learn to Skate program on the same two sheets.

Enfield recommends pre-registering and paying online, because prices at the rink can be higher. Public-skate registration is organized by month.
