Three 200-by-85-foot sheets opened in 1999; the Red Rink seats 1,200 and once hosted Quinnipiac hockey.
Northford Ice Pavilion opened in 1999 in Northford, Connecticut, with three ice sheets under one roof, each a full 200 by 85 feet. The largest of them, the Red Rink, holds 1,200 spectators. Before Quinnipiac University opened the TD Banknorth Sports Center, the Pavilion hosted the Bobcats' NCAA Division I men's hockey program.
In the 2016–17 season the building hosted the Connecticut Whale of the PHF. Today four high school hockey teams play out of the building, and many of them have gone on to win state titles.
Figure skating, Learn to Skate classes, stick time and hockey programs share the three sheets with public skating that is open to all ages. Learn to Skate here runs under Learn to Skate USA, so every student in the classes is a member of that program.
