Wesley Chapel's five-rink complex, formerly Florida Hospital Center Ice, the Southeast's largest.
AdventHealth Center Ice, formerly Florida Hospital Center Ice, calls itself the largest ice sports facility in the Southeast, with more than 150,000 square feet under one roof. Its five sheets are the Busch Gardens Olympic Rink, three NHL rinks that can each be converted to a dry floor, and the Farina Mini Rink with glow-in-the-dark lighting.
The building is busy at every level. It is home to the University of South Florida club hockey teams, two USPHL junior teams, 16 youth travel teams, 12 high school teams, 22 youth recreational teams and more than 100 adult recreational teams, as well as the Tampa Bay Curling Club, and figure skating coaches and choreographers including John Zimmerman work here.
It hosted the Isobel Cup playoffs when they came to the Tampa Bay area, and on Friday nights the public skate turns into the two-hour Friday Night Meltdown, with a DJ and colorful lights.
