Flynn Memorial Rink in Medford is a seasonal ice rink facility dedicated to the development of competitive and recreational skaters. Its main sheet measures 200 by 85 feet, with seating for 1,000 people. A separate mini rink is used for youth practices and the Mite Instructional League.
Winchester Youth Hockey, which has run instructional youth hockey programs for boys and girls aged 4 to 18 for 60 years, skates here with more than 390 registered players. The Tufts Hockey Club, a student-run coed team competing in ACHA Division II and the New England Collegiate Hockey Association, practices at the rink around two nights a week and plays about one or two games a week. Flynn Rink projects more than 200,000 visitors a year.
