Rocky River's year-round recreation rink
Hamilton Ice Arena is Rocky River's year-round city rink and the base of the Recreation Department, which has run hockey and skating programs for more than 30 years and keeps its administrative offices in the building.
The arena has four team locker rooms, a female locker room and a coaches and referee space, and its pavilion has a fireplace, a concession stand and seating for nearly 800. In spring the building changes from a sheet of ice into a multipurpose sports and camps facility, home to the city's nine-week summer day camp.
In fall and winter it hosts the department's youth hockey, learn to play hockey and learn to skate programs and opens for informal public skating, and it serves the Rocky River High School and Avon Lake High School hockey programs.
