Two sheets replacing the Haras rink, opened in 2019
Angers ICEPARC replaced the Haras rink, where Angers hockey players had skated since 1982 and which no longer met the club's needs after 37 years. Construction began in November 2017, drawn by Chabanne Architecture and built by Alter Construction for the city of Angers, with management given to the UCPA. The public inauguration was on 14 September 2019, and the Ducs d'Angers began their 2019/2020 Ligue Magnus season the next day against the Rouen Dragons.
The building has two sheets: a competition rink of 60 by 30 metres and a smaller secondary rink of 56 by 26 metres, used for group activities and recreational skating. It seats 3,586 in all.
It stands in the Saint-Serge district as part of the Angers Cœur de Maine redevelopment. Local ice hockey, figure skating and ice dance clubs were to get 3,000 reserved hours of ice a year, and 130 school classes were to be welcomed each year; karting on ice is also offered.
