Patterson Ice Center is a two-sheet indoor rink in Grand Rapids, with lessons, open skating and hockey available year-round. There is locker room space to match two rinks' worth of gear, and the center's stated mission is to provide a fun, safe and exciting environment for anyone to enjoy ice skating, figure skating and hockey.
The building is the home of the Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association, a nonprofit youth program that has served the area since 1972, and of the Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating Club, which has skated for more than 30 years. Davenport University plays here, as do East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills Central, Forest Hills Northern/Eastern and Caledonia high schools and the West Michigan Special Hockey Association.
The center's own site lists a learn-to-skate program, a high school league, a summer league, a Monday B-league, a Sunday 35+ league and a Sunday C-league, and tournaments including the Rooster Cup.
