Yonkers' city skating center since 1960, home of Westchester's oldest speed skating club.

The Edward J. Murray Memorial Skating Center, known locally as Murray's, has served Yonkers and the surrounding area since 1960. The center sits on 6.5 acres and was recently renovated with a new entrance, a mezzanine viewing level, a refurbished lobby and restrooms.
Some of its tenants have been here from the start. The Borelli family has run the Varsity Skate Shop, with rentals, sharpening, blade mounting and repairs, since 1960, and the Taconic Speed Skating Club, the oldest club of its kind in Westchester, has offered speed skating at the rink just as long. The Yonkers Figure Skating Club runs programs for serious figure skaters.
Readers of Westchester Magazine have voted it the best ice skating rink, and most weekend public sessions have a DJ playing current music. Each season ends with the Annual Ice Skating Show, where all participants are invited to show what they have learned.
