Two NHL sheets in Elmsford since 1996
The Westchester Skating Academy was built in 1996 in Elmsford, New York, and is one of the only twin-rink facilities with two NHL-size sheets in Westchester County. It runs seven days a week.
Hockey and figure skating share the two sheets. The Westchester Vipers are affiliated with the rink, and the Raptors count it as one of their two home arenas alongside Hommocks Park in Larchmont. The figure skating department is led by Megan Doyle-Scalia, a U.S. Figure Skating double gold medalist and regional champion who started her own skating career at WSA more than 30 years ago and who also coaches Skyliners synchronized skating. Figure skater Alexia Paganini trained here for a few years early in her career under her former coach Gilberto Viadana.
The academy's own pitch is a warm and nurturing atmosphere for its skating programs and the development of every skater who enters the building, which it bills as Elmsford's coolest place for family fun.

Booking & check-in
Public sessions are reserved online: skaters first make a profile in the rink's DaySmart system (a spouse or adult child needs a separate account, which the rink then links), then reserve a spot for the public session.
