Pennsylvania's second-oldest ice rink

Rostraver Ice Garden opened in 1965 in Belle Vernon, a Pittsburgh suburb, and is described as the second-oldest ice rink in Pennsylvania. The 5,000-seat arena has hosted local sporting events, mainly hockey, and concerts, and in the mid-to-late 1990s it was a venue for Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Heavy snow brought down a 100-by-200-foot section of the roof on February 14, 2010, during a youth hockey tournament, and the arena reopened with a new roof on October 21, 2010. In 2017 it won the national Kraft Hockeyville competition and received a round of upgrades.

Black Bear Sports Group bought the building in February 2023 and renamed it the cfsbank Event Center. It has one NHL-sized rink, which becomes a dry-floor event hall in spring and summer. Home teams include Mon Valley Thunder Youth Hockey, the PennWest California University Hockey Club and the Ringgold, Elizabeth Forward and Thomas Jefferson high school teams.
