Markham’s 1972 arena with seating around most of the rink, home ice of the OJHL’s Markham Royals since 2015
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
Centennial Community Centre was built in 1972 as an 1,800-seat arena on McCowan Road in Markham, and a 1999 renovation expanded the building well beyond the rink. The arena was home to the Markham Waxers of the OPJHL and in the mid 1970s occasionally hosted the Ontario Hockey League’s Toronto Marlboros.
The NHL-size ice has seating around most of the rink, with seven dressing rooms. Since 2015 it has been home ice for the Markham Royals of the OJHL, who arrived when the Hamilton Red Wings moved to Markham.
The 1999 expansion added a lap pool and a children’s pool, a gymnasium and indoor bocce courts, and an outdoor skate park sits west of the building, across from the rink.
