The City of Allen's rink beside the Americans' arena

Allen Community Ice Rink is a full-size sheet, 85 feet by 200 feet, with general seating for more than 300 spectators. The Allen Americans call it the Credit Union of Texas Event Center Community Rink, after the arena it adjoins. That arena broke ground on July 24, 2008, and opened in 2009 under the name Allen Event Center. The City of Allen sold the arena's naming rights to the Credit Union of Texas in 2021.

The arena hosts the home games of the ECHL's Americans, and the team held the opening days of its 2026 training camp on the community rink ahead of its 18th season. The city's Jr. Americans Youth Hockey Program plays its Mite (8U) and Squirt (10U) games exclusively here, the adult leagues run up to an Over 35 League for players 35 and older, and the Allen Academy of Skating teaches the Learn to Skate classes. The building also has off-ice training areas, and an on-ice harness is available.

In fall 2026 the rink pauses all regular programs and rentals from October 13 through November 14. The League of Legends Worlds 26 esports tournament at the event center needs the rink space for that period.
