Currently out of season Skate the Square opens for the 2026-27 season on November 20, 2026 and runs through January 4, 2027; daily hours are not posted yet. Official schedule update
Skate the Square is a real-ice outdoor rink at Frisco Square, 80 feet by 55 feet, set along Main and Coleman. It describes itself as the area's only real-ice outdoor rink, and it is in its 16th year at the development.
The rink is part of Christmas in the Square, which Frisco Square presents as the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in North Texas. The show returns for its 21st year and draws more than 125,000 visitors annually, and the 2026 program also includes visits with Santa and horse carriage rides.
Frisco Square is a multi-generational, master planned development, and its Property Owners Association manages the common areas. The rink closes during inclement weather, on Thanksgiving Day and on Christmas Day.
