Opened August 2018, sheets named for Hatcher and Morrow
Children's Health StarCenter Mansfield came out of a February 8, 2016 vote in which the Mansfield City Council approved the project 6-0: a $15.6 million building of 78,000 to 80,000 square feet. Dallas Stars Enterprises holds a 30-year lease on it, after which the StarCenter belongs to the city. The Dallas Stars and the Dr Pepper StarCenter chain opened the arena with a ribbon cutting in August 2018.
The 80,000-square-foot building holds two rinks and a large event space. The sheets carry names: the Hatcher Rink and the Morrow Rink honour a pair of long-tenured former Stars captains. Mansfield High School's hockey team practices here, and the building hosts hockey leagues and tournaments for all ages and skill levels, figure skating lessons and adult recreational leagues.
The name over the door changed in January 2019, when the Dallas Stars announced a multi-year agreement giving Children's Health naming rights to StarCenters across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Skating with children
