The Métropole Européenne de Lille's rink at Wasquehal
The Patinoire Serge Charles belongs to the Métropole Européenne de Lille, which lists it among its major metropolitan sports facilities, and Equalia runs it. The sheet covers 1,456 m² and is open to skaters from age 3, with light effects and a sound system, stands for galas and competitions, and a skate bank of nearly 1,000 pairs from size 24 to 49.
A 90 m² brasserie looks directly onto the ice. Two clubs are resident. The Lions de Wasquehal, founded in 1995 and affiliated to the French ice hockey federation, take children from age 3 and field a first team in Division 3. The Entente Patinage Wasquehal Lille Métropole teaches figure skating, ice dance and synchronised skating from age 3.
Themed evenings fill the calendar: an Octobre Rose night on Saturday 10 October, a Disco 80's & 90's night on 17 October and the return of the foam night.
