Currently out of season Oslo kommune says the lower gravel pitch in Smestadparken is used as a skating rink from about 1 November to 1 April, depending on the weather, and that it is watered and scraped every day when the temperature allows; the city lists Smestadparken among the natural-ice rinks it maintains but prints no opening date for this winter.
