Steele County's 1972 fairgrounds arena, expanded in 2000 into two connected buildings with two ice sheets
The Four Seasons Centre was built in 1972 on the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, for use by all residents of the county. An expansion finished in the spring of 2000 made room for more ice activities and dry-floor events. Today the complex is two connected buildings with 30,000 and 20,000 square feet of floor, and both floors serve as ice rinks. A hospitality area that doubles as a meeting space overlooks both of them.
With two sheets, the centre is home ice for hockey and figure skating ten months of the year. Its ice groups are the Owatonna Youth Hockey Association and the Owatonna Figure Skating Club, and beginners start in Owatonna Skate School's Learn to Skate program or in OYHA's Mites. The county runs the rinks as a member of the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association and follows that association's policies.
Public skating runs on a printed season calendar, with a handful of Ice Jam events mixed into the winter.
